NEWS CENTER – Werîşe Muradî, who sent a message from the prison where she is being held on the anniversary of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising, said, “It should be a manifesto for a free life.”

Werîşe Muradî, a Kurdish political prisoner sentenced to death by the Iranian regime, sent a message from the prison where she is being held on the anniversary of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising.

'It should be a manifesto for a free life'

Emphasizing that this day should not be treated as just a commemoration, Werîşe Muradî said that “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” should be a manifesto for a free life. Werîşe Muradî said, “This revolution is not just an explosion of anger in the streets, but also an expression of deep-rooted demands for freedom, justice, and the establishment of social relations. We cannot treat this day as just a day of commemoration; it must be a manifesto for a free life.”

The Iranian regime's stance against the uprising

Drawing attention to the role of women in the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising, Werîşe Muradî concluded by saying, "The slogan ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadî’ has put the issue of women at the heart of the revolution. It has proven that no revolution can bring about democratic change in society without women's representation. Furthermore, the death sentences imposed by the Iranian government on political female prisoners are a systematic revenge against this revolution."
